Obituary of Patricia L. Miller
Patricia L. Miller, 90, passed away peacefully on February 21, 2019 at Bethesda Gardens
Assisted Living and Memory Care in Ft. Worth, Texas.
Patricia was born on October 7, 1928 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania to the late Alfred & Mildred
Jones. She married her late husband, Philip C. Miller on April 21, 1951 in Pitman, NJ. Over
the course of a lifetime, Patricia, also known as "Patty, Patsy, Pat, Trish and Party Pat" lived
in Alliance, Ohio; Barrington, New Jersey; York,Pennsylvania; Huntsville, Alabama; Rock
Island, Illinois; Lake Hopatcong, NJ; Port Charlotte, Florida. Not shy of adventures, Patricia
loved to go on spontaneous trips and make new discoveries and friends everywhere she went.
A devoted Christian, she was very active in church activities, especially catering to shut-ins.
She graduated High School in Pitman, NJ in 1946, worked for various businesses throughout
her life as a secretary including Campbell Soup Company in Camden, NJ and the Rock Island
Arsenal, Rock Island, IL and Picatinny Arsenal in Wharton, NJ. She became a resident of Port
Charlotte, Florida in 1985, later moving to Fort Worth,Texas after her husband, Phil passed in
2006. Writing, reading and taking pictures were some of her favorite hobbies as well as
uplifting others and making anything fun, especially parties to help celebrate holidays and
birthdays. She and Phil loved spending time on the beach and dancing.
Patricia is survived by her 5 children, 9 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren as follows:
Children: Doug (Mary) Miller, Cindy (Ray) Eldridge, Diane (Bob) Blackburn, Ken (Ken) Miller
and Linda (Russ) Parker.
Grandchildren & Great Grandchildren: Nathanael (Brittany) Miller (Lawson); Philip
(Samantha) Miller (Lila, Ethan, Gracie); Aaron ( Andrea) Miller (Hudson,Harlow); Matthew
(Sara) Marshall (Kevin, Kaity); Laura (Nick) Porti (Mackenzie, Dylan, Haley); Ryan (Athonei)
Marshall (Abby, Elijah, Hannah); Christina (Michael) Lopez (Michaelangelo, Tyla); Allen Koster
(Carson, Owen); Emily Williamson (Layla).
A pillar of strength, fortitude, humor, faith, and positivity, she will be missed and forever
loved and remembered.
Funeral service will be private for family on March 11, 2019.
