Obituary of Roberta A. Rolfe

Robin Rolfe, of Port Charlotte, Florida, died March 5 at the Arcadia Hospice House after a brave battle with cancer. She was born on November 1 in Painesville, Ohio to John and Anne Rolfe. Robin graduated from Harvey High School and Marymount Catholic Nursing School. She worked for many years at Lake East Hospital in Painesville. Robin put herself through nursing school and graduated as an RN from Lakeland Community College. She worked two years at Hillcrest Hospital. Robin (like the bird) moved to Florida in 1977. She came to work at Fawcett Memorial Hospital where she worked for over 30 years, first in ICU and then Outpatient. Robin was a devoted Catholic and member of St. Charles Catholic Church. Robin leaves behind her cousin, Garry Ramsey and his wife, Mary Lou of Leesburg, Georgia, Garth Rolfe and Charleen Tompkins of California and many other cousins. She also leaves her good friend Jerry Roof, her Fawcett family and friends, and her "kids" - her loving furry support system. Robin was preceded in death by her mother and father. May you rest in peace and suffer no more our dear little Robin. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00PM on Thursday, March 8, 2012 at Paul Schelm Funeral Home, 12687 Kings Highway in Lake Suzy with a rosary service to be held at 7:30PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11:00AM on Friday, March 9, 2012 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 21505 Augusta Avenue in Port Charlotte.
