Obituary of Kenneth M. Rickert

Kenneth M. Rickert, 77, of Port Charlotte, Florida graduated from this life to eternal life on Thursday, October 1, 2009 at Fawcett Memorial Hospital in Port Charlotte. Mr. Rickert was born September 18, 1932 in Breslau, Ontario, Canada to Clayton and Clara (Kurt) Rickert and moved to this area 41 years ago from Kitchner, Ontario, Canada. He worked up until the day he died at Wal-Mart in the produce section. He was also a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Port Charlotte. Mr. Rickert is survived by his wife, Fern M. (Assman) Rickert of Port Charlotte; daughter, Cara L (George) Dahlke of Knoxville, TN; brother, Willis Rickert of Kitchner, Ontario, Canada; sister, Dorothy Soligo of Guelph, Ontario, Canada; and 3 grandchildren, Erik, Adam, and Aleah. Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service at 5:30PM, Thursday, October 8, 2009 at Peace Lutheran Church, 21500 Gibraltar Drive in Port Charlotte with Reverend Skip Struebing officiating.
