Obituary of Bessie E. Cohen

Bessie E. Cohen, 93, of Port Charlotte, Florida passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at her residence. Mrs. Cohen was born April 18, 1918 in Desoto County, Florida to James and Nancy E. (nee Elander) Stevens and moved from Fort Ogden, Florida to Port Charlotte in 1977. She was a homemaker and was of Baptist faith. Mrs. Cohen is survived by her son George (Lucy) Cohen of Ocala, FL; step-sons, Mitch Cohen and Sid Cohen, both of New York, NY; two grandchildren, Christopher Deese of North Port, FL and Ronnie Lee Earnest of Houston, TX; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, July 1, 2011 at Fort Ogden Cemetery in Fort Ogden, FL with Reverend Wayne Earnest officiating.
