Obituary of Mary Lou Bunnell

Mary Lou Bunnell, 77, of North Port, Florida went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, June 19, 2011 in Port Charlotte. Mrs. Bunnell was born January 6, 1934 in Ashtabula, Ohio to Willis and Louise (nee Newlon) Amidon and moved to this area 33 years ago from Conneaut, Ohio. She worked as a registered nurse before retiring. Mrs. Bunnell was a member of Murdock Baptist Church in Port Charlotte. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her, but to those left behind take comfort in knowing that she is at home in the arms of Jesus. Mrs. Bunnell is survived by her loving children, Stephen M. (Kathy) Bunnell of Conneaut, OH, Jeffrey A. (Debbie) Bunnell of Vero Beach, FL, Gregory S. Bunnell of Key West, FL, Douglas W. (Laura) Bunnell of Port Charlotte, Beth A. (Tim) Wilson of Port Charlotte, and Jill M. (Brent) Phillips of North Port; 20 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 2-3:00PM on Saturday, June 25, 2011 at Murdock Baptist Church, 18375 Cochran Boulevard in Port Charlotte with a funeral service to follow at 3:00PM at the church.
