Obituary of Joyce V. Burke

Joyce Vivian Burke, 96, of Port Charlotte, Florida died Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at Fawcett Memorial Hospital in Port Charlotte. Mrs. Burke was born October 22, 1914 in New Haven, Connecticut to Bertram and Mae (nee Dunn) Mack. Mrs. Burke worked as a sales clerk at Sears Department Store and was of Episcopal faith. Mrs. Burke is survived by her daughter, Elinor Carignan of Port Charlotte; sons, Vincent (Mary) Ferrie of Lake Charles, LA, Bertram (Maureen) Ferrie of Merritt Island, FL, Harold Richard (Millicent) Burke of Port Charlotte, and Gary (Nancy) Burke of Cape Coral, FL; 13 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and many great-great-grandchildren.
