Obituary of Shirley Jean Meggs

Shirley Jean Meggs, 56, of North Port, Florida died Friday, December 17, 2010 at Tidewell Hospice in Port Charlotte. Mrs. Meggs was born July 29, 1954 in Des Moines, Iowa to Thomas G. and Maxine (nee Arbtin) Koder and moved to this area 41 years ago. Mrs. Meggs was a homemaker and a member of South Biscayne Baptist Church in North Port, FL. Mrs. Meggs is survived by her husband, Danny Ray Meggs of North Port; son, Danny Ray Meggs II of Fort Myers, FL; brothers, Jim (Kate), Dean, Tommy (Kar), and Gary; sister, Sue (Dennis); and many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00AM on Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at South Biscayne Baptist Church in North Port, FL.
