Obituary of Leonard A. Scheno

Leonard A. Scheno, 86, of Punta Gorda, Florida died Friday, October 15, 2010 at Peace River Regional Medical Center in Port Charlotte. Mr. Scheno was born December 10, 1923 in Nyack, New York to Pasquale and Meria (nee Balammo) Scheno and moved to the Punta Gorda area 21 years ago from Tappan, NY. Mr. Scheno worked as a printing pressman for a paperboard company and was a member of Sonshine Baptist Church in Port Charlotte. Mr. Scheno is survived by his loving wife, Judith A. (nee Toner) Scheno of Deep Creek; brother, Joseph Scheno of Congers, NY; sister, Virginia Brennan of Blauvelt, NY; granddaughters, Jennifer and Samantha; 5 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by daughters, Maria Matthews and Frances Scheno and grandson's, Christian Thiele, and Albert John Matthews. A Memorial Services will be held at at Sonshine Baptist Church in Port Charlotte and will be at 6:00 pm, Monday October 25 2010.
