Pierina Pannozzo, 104, of Punta Gorda, FL passed away Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at home with Donny, Tish and David by her side. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church where her Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated by Msgr. Philip W. Hill and take place on Monday, November 22, 2021, at 11am. Burial will follow at Charlotte Memorial Gardens also in Punta Gorda. She survived by her three children: John of Delray Beach, FL, Dominick Jr. (Donny) of Punta Gorda, FL, Linda of NY, and her sister Filomena (Fanny) Manzi of Millbrook, NY. Pierina also had five grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was one of 11 children, of which 9 have gone home to the Lord. Pierina was married to Dominick Pannozzo, Sr. for 65 years. He passed away in 1998. Pierina had a 6th grade education but had to leave school to help raise her 10 siblings. As a young adult and in later years worked as a domestic for a wealthy family. Later on, she married and raised her family. Mom & Dad moved to Florida and joined many organizations including the Italian American Club, Elks Club, PG Boat Club and others. They took dance lessons and loved dancing to New York, New York. In 1983 something wonderful happened, Mom won the New York State Lotto and truly enjoyed the rest of their days.
